Defending champions continue their winning streak in CONMEBOL
Argentina maintained their perfect record in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying with a 1-0 victory over Paraguay on Thursday night in Buenos Aires.
The lone goal of the match came in the 32nd minute, when Angel Di Maria slotted home a pass from Lionel Messi. The goal proved to be enough to give Argentina their second consecutive 1-0 victory in qualifying, following last week's win over Ecuador.
The victory puts Argentina at the top of the CONMEBOL standings with a perfect 3-0 record. Paraguay, meanwhile, remains in eighth place with just one point from their first three matches.
