Diamondbacks LHP Jordan Montgomery to start Tuesday vs. Rockies
Arizona seeking third straight win at Coors Field
Diamondbacks left-hander Jordan Montgomery will start Tuesday's series opener against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field, the team announced Monday.
Montgomery is 4-3 with a 4.05 ERA in nine starts this season. He has allowed 48 hits and 22 walks while striking out 51 in 47 innings.
The Rockies will counter with right-hander Chad Kuhl, who is 4-5 with a 5.19 ERA in 12 starts this season. He has allowed 71 hits and 25 walks while striking out 53 in 66 2/3 innings.
The Diamondbacks have won two straight games at Coors Field, including a 7-5 victory over the Rockies on Sunday. Arizona is 3-3 against Colorado this season.
The Rockies are 19-32 at home this season, the worst home record in the National League. They have lost four of their last five games overall.
